Objective: Destroy all surface-to-air missile launching sites (SAM sites) within a 25-mile radius of Jalibah. These SAM sites are a major hazard for coalition aircraft on bombing missions that originate in Kuwait or the Persian Gulf. Background: A strategic necessity to any successful campaign is to gain air superiority in the theater. As part of this effort Iraqi SAM sites are to be aggressively located and eradicated. A typical Iraqi missile battalion consists of six loaded SA-2 launchers and, possibly, a Fan Song tracking and guidance radar. 戦略を成功させるには、戦域の制空権を獲得する必要がある。そのためにイラクが配備しているSAMを積極的に探して破壊しなくてはならない。典型的なイラクのミサイル大隊は、6つのSA-2ランチャーとファンソング追尾・誘導レーダーから成り立っている。 The Fan Song radar is centrally located within the site and provides target position data to a computer. It also has the added task of providing individual target position data on as many as three missiles. The requirement for a single radar to track and lock on to as many as four targets simultaneously necessitates that the radar continually look at several points in space. The radar is able to scan for multiple targets while also locking on to multiple targets. -Tomahawk cruise missiles were launched from Coalition ships and submarines. -Iraqi military attacked American military units with artillery and ballistic missiles. -Iraq launched surface-to-surface missiles aimed at targets in Kuwait. -British and American marines captured the port town of Umm Qasr. -H3 airbase was occupied by Coalition forces.	― トマホーク巡航ミサイルが連合軍の艦船および潜水艦から発射された。 ― イラク軍は砲と弾道ミサイルでアメリカ軍を攻撃した。 ― イラクは、クウェートを標的にした地対地ミサイルを発射した。 ― 英国とアメリカの船舶は、Umm Qasrの港町を押さえた。 ― H3 空軍基地は連合軍に占領された。

ゲームメモ：

　2つから3つのSAMが出てくる。MIGも2機出てくるので一応用意しておこう。標準SEAD装備でよい。

War Story

　すでにTACANに向かって飛んでいる途中だ。スピードを上げてHARMとレーダーを入れる。しばらくするとSAMが3つ現れた。一番左が近いので、そちらにコースをとる。レンジに入るのを待ってHARMを発射すると、同時に向こうも撃ってきた。右に旋回して90度の角度を作り、フレアとチャフをばらまく。3秒に1回チャフを巻きながら左を見ていると、敵のミサイルが見えた。すでにこちらからそれている。

　残るSAMはまだ遠いが、最初のSAMの脇からMIGが上がってきたので、そちらにAMRAAMをぶち込む。最初のSAMが破壊された。続いてもう1機離陸するMIGがある。こちらにもAMRAAMを撃ち、右のSAM（3と表示されているのでSA-3だろう）がミサイルを撃ってきた。レンジに入っているのでHARMを発射し、チャフをばらまいて右に旋回する。一番右のSAMを向く。こちらもSA-3のようだ。ミサイルが回避できたころ、こちらもレンジに入ったのでHARMを発射する。

　これで片が付いた。ミッションコンプリートをききなから、残った1発のHARMを敵航空基地のAAAに発射する。

　後はTACANでエンタープライズ（E65）に帰ってきた。この後、ミッションでもっとも難しい着艦が待っているのだった。
