Objective:
Escort a squadron of B-52 bombers safely to Muhammadiyat and assure they all successfully deploy their bombs and destroy the munitions facility.

Target Location:
The B-52s and their escorts (including you) are enroute to Muhammadiyat. Fly a heading of 310 for 55 miles to reach the target (waypoint 1).

Background:
This site has been the primary storage area for filled chemical weapons. At the time of the first Gulf War the site contained numerous CW munitions.
このサイトは化学兵器用の主要な貯蔵エリアだった。第1次湾岸戦争の時に、サイトは多数のCW（化学兵器）軍需品を含んでいた。
Recent surveillance produced by the American U-2 reconaissance flights and satellite images suggests that new construction has recently taken place at this site leading coalition commanders to believe that Muhammadiyat is once again being used to house chemical weapons. Because these may be deployed on coalition ground forces it is thought to be of immediate strategic importance to eliminate any chemical weapons that may be stored there. One possible complication of this mission is the effect of released chemicals, as a result of the bombing, on civilians. But because the area is sparsely populated this is not a huge concern. However a hazard to your mission is sure to come from Al Taqaddum airbase. This major Iraqi airbase is located just a few miles NW of Muhammadiyat and is the home of many SU-27's and Mig-29's.
米国U-2と監視衛星によって、Muhammadiyatが再構築され、化学兵器を収容するためにもう一度使用されていると連合指揮者に思われた。これらが連合地上軍に使用される可能性があり、そこに格納されているすべての化学兵器を除去する緊急な戦略が必要となった。このミッションによる爆撃の結果、民間人に化学薬品による被害がでるかもしれない。しかし、このエリアは過疎地帯なので大きな影響はない。しかしながら、危険はAl Taqaddum航空基地から必ず来る。このイラクの主要航空基地はMuhammadiyatから数マイル北西にあり、多くのSU-27とミグ-29の基地になっている。

-The multiple-day dust storms cleared allowing an increase in Coalition air operations.
-Lead elements of the Third Infantry Division (Mechanized) were approaching Karbala.
-British 7th Armored Brigade maintained a loose encirclement of Basra.
-Kurdish forces followed retreating Iraqi forces in the North taking Bani Maqan area, near Kirkuk. No combat occurred. ― 何日も続いた砂漠の嵐は連合軍の航空勢力の増強を食い止めた。
― 第3機械化歩兵部隊の先端はKarbalaに接近した。
― 英国第7装甲旅団は、Basraの包囲を持続した。
― クルド軍はキルクーク近郊のBani Maqan北部で退却したイラク軍を追討したが戦闘は行われなかった。

ゲームメモ：

　空中にいて、爆撃機3機と僚機2機を従えている。しばらく飛ぶと2機のSU27、続いて第2波の迎撃群（SU27×4、MIG21×1）がSAM×4基とともに出現する。相当手強い。

War Story

　SEAD装備をベースに、機体センターにドロップタンクをつけ、両翼のドロップタンクをHARMに変更して出撃した。

　バーナーを入れて編隊からはなれ、先行する。4倍速でしばらく飛ぶと前方に2機のSU27が現れた。こちらもAMRAAMを用意して待つ。射程に入ったとたん、向こうが撃ってきた。まだまだ間合いが遠い。大きくS字を描いてミサイルをかわし、10マイルまで迫ったところで2機にAMRAAMを発射した。先行機に命中。後続にはかわされたらしい。僚機がやられた。

　ミサイルをかわし、すれ違いざま、AIM9で後続機をしとめた。

　今度はSAMが3方から攻撃してきた。ミサイルをかわしている間に前方に機影が続々現れ、これも攻撃に加わってきた。しかもこの迎撃部隊、こちらと爆撃機の攻撃とに分かれているようだ。SAMと戦闘機の一部がこちらの注意を引きつけ、残りが爆撃機にかかるという寸法だ。

　それがわかっていてもこちらも手一杯だ。あっという間に空中がミサイルだらけになる。SAMもSUもがんがん撃ってくる。まるでミサイルシャワーだ。自分が生き残ることはできても、爆撃機を守ることなどとうていできない。
