Objective:
Successfully escort three B-52 bombers to the Taji missile factory. All three must be allowed to deploy their munitions on target and return to base (Ali Al Salam) safely. Your group along with a lone A-10 will supply all defenses for the bombers. Expect heavy SAM activity near the Baghdad area. Expect other bomber groups (not your responsibility) in the Baghdad area. Also, enemy aircraft from the Salman Pak Airbase and Al Taqqadum Airbase may be active.

The bomber group is already enroute. You are currently 63 miles south of Baghdad. Also, you are 42 miles from Salman Pak Airbase. Your flight path brings you within close proximity of this potential danger. Taji (waypoint 1) is 84 miles from your current position. Maintain a course of 327- to stay with the bombers.

Background:
Taji is actually a multi-use facility. It is the primary location for Iraq's long-range missile program. Missiles and liquid fuel rocket engines are designed and assembled here. Also aluminum, epoxy and fiberglass missile casings are produced on site.

The site was also planned to house centrifuge cascades as a means of producing weapons-grade highly enriched uranium. However, it is not known if any such production facility was ever completed at Taji.

Taji is also the site of a single cell protein plant that produced hundreds of liters of Botulium toxin in the late 1980s. Equipment at the site included a spore drier capable of producing anthrax and other toxic spores at bio-weapons grade quality.

-800 of the days 2000 sorties were strike sorties against Republican Guard troops.
-3,000 bombs were dropped during the past 72 hours. A total of 8,000 have been used during the whole campaign to this point.
-The 3rd ID attacked and seized a bridge over the Euphrates River near Al Handiyah.
-Air strikes in the North intensified making this the busiest day of the war for attack sorties.		 ― 連合軍空軍は共和党防衛隊を目標にし続けている。
